Zambia Statistics Agency (ZamStats)

The Zambia Statistics Agency (ZamStats) is an organization established under the Statistics Act, Chapter 127 of the Laws of Zambia. Its core function is the coordination of an integrated National Statistical System (NSS). ZamStats builds sustainable capacity for the production and use of statistical data and information. The agency supports planning purposes at all levels of governance in Zambia. Furthermore, it undertakes the development and implementation of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (NSDS), responding to current trends in the statistical ecosystem.
