Job Description

Umoyo is a dynamic manufacturing and distribution company supplying products to its own outlets and major retail chains including Shoprite, Pick n Pay, Choppies, and Cheers. We are committed to operational excellence, accountability, and efficiency across our supply chain.

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and results-driven Logistics Officer to join our team.


Key Responsibilities

·        Oversee fleet operations, maintenance, statutory compliance, and fuel cost control.

·        Supervise drivers and enforce transport policies and safety standards.

·        Manage invoicing for Modern and General Trade and maintain accurate documentation.

·        Ensure 100% tracking, recovery, and timely submission of Proof of Delivery (PODs).

·        Coordinate approved transporters and monitor all dispatched consignments.

·        Implement systems that improve logistics efficiency, accountability, and turnaround times.


Performance Focus

  • Timely collection and 100% retirement of PODs.
  • Reduction and control of fleet fuel costs.
  • Efficient documentation systems implementation.
  • Effective coordination of transporters and delivery follow-ups.
  • Improved turnaround time for invoicing and payment facilitation.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Transport & Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Fully registered and paid-up member of ZILTS with a valid practicing licence.
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience (preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong organizational, supervisory, and communication skills.
  • High integrity and accountability.
