VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: TRAINING SPECIALIST – LMS COMPLIANCE

Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly motivated and committed individual for the position of Training Specialist – LMS Compliance to join the versatile Lumwana Learning & Development department. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

Reporting to Coordinator – Compliance, the Training Specialist – Learning Management System (LMS) Compliance, will administer self-paced learning and optimize the organization’s LMS to ensure training is delivered, tracked, and reported accurately.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • LMS administration & configuration i.e Manage user accounts, courses, enrollments, groups, and some system settings.
  • Upload, organize, update, and retire learning content (e-learning, documents, quizzes) with strong version control and standards.
  • Assign mandatory/role-based training, manage due dates and reminders, track completions, renewals, and certifications.
  • Produce dashboards and audit-ready reports; analyze adoption, completion, and performance trends to drive improvements.
  • Provide first-line support to learners and managers, resolve access/content issues and escalate to innovation and technology team when needed.
  • Maintain clean learner data ensuring accurate records and support privacy/security requirements.
  • Coordinate with Innovation and Technology team upgrades, testing, integrations, and management of change communication; gather feedback enhances the learner experience.

 

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

 

  • Full Grade 12 School Certificate
  • Minimum Diploma in Computer Studies or equivalent/ teaching in Mathematics / Social Sciences / Entrepreneurship/ Library or Records Management/ Engineering Drawing / Occupational Health & Safety or Science from a recognized learning institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in related roles.
  • Experience with any Learning Management System will be an added advantage.
