Southern African Development Community (SADC)

The Southern African Development Community (SADC) is a regional economic community founded by countries in Southern Africa. It aims to promote socio-economic, political, and security cooperation among its Member States. SADC works to foster regional integration to achieve peace, stability, and wealth across the region. The organization currently includes sixteen Member States with a combined population of approximately 340 million and a combined GDP of US$720 billion. Its activities focus on developing cooperation in various sectors including economic development, political stability, and security matters within Southern Africa.
