Road Development Agency (Rda)

Road Development Agency (Rda) is a statutory body of the Government of Zambia, established under the Public Roads Act No. 12 of 2002 as amended. The agency manages the care, planning, maintenance, and construction of public roads throughout Zambia. Its activities include regulating maximum permissible weights on roads, conducting studies for the development, maintenance, and improvement of the road network, and reviewing design standards and classification. Furthermore, Rda conducts comprehensive studies related to road safety, including speed limit studies, route investigations, crash analysis, and Non-Motorized User (NMU) Safety Reports. The organization's work supports the effective operation and safe transport network for all road users in Zambia.
