Reformed Open Community Schools

Reformed Open Community Schools (ROCS) is an organization focused on empowering communities to transform schools for improved learner outcomes. ROCS functions as a recognized stakeholder supporting underprivileged and vulnerable children's access to quality education in rural and peri-urban areas of Zambia. The organization implements initiatives such as the School Readiness Initiative, which focuses on providing access to quality Early Childhood Development (ECD) services by establishing ECD centers in rural community schools. Furthermore, ROCS engages in projects like the SAFECHILD Project, supporting the effective implementation of the Children's Code Act No. 12 of 2022 through advocacy and policy work. Located in Lusaka, Zambia, ROCS works with communities, Parents Community School Committees, school administrators, and government line ministries to improve educational outcomes and contribute to public health initiatives.
