International Trade Centre (ITC)

The International Trade Centre (ITC) is an organization involved in supporting international trade and economic development. Its activities include enhancing intra-African trade and improving market access for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The ITC implements programs such as the Africa Trade Competitiveness and Market Access (ATCMA) Programme, which aims to strengthen competitiveness by reducing trade barriers and promoting export diversification across various regional economic communities, including COMESA. These initiatives involve supporting policy reforms, facilitating Value Chain Review Mechanisms (VCRMs), and providing technical expertise in market access and investment policy. The organization works with international partners, such as the European Union and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), to promote sustainable business practices and economic inclusion by prioritizing women- and youth-led businesses.
