Job Summary: An enumerator (for academic research) willÂ collect data from respondents in the field, through surveys, interviews, or observations and group discussions.Â He/she will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and reliable data collection for the projects, including surveys, censuses, or research study.Â In some cases, enumerators may also be responsible for data cleaning, validation, and help in data analysis.

They will identify and locate respondents based on specified criteria.

Data Documentation:

They will document collected data accurately and completely, using range of data collection tools.

Data Quality:

Enumerators will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness, through cross-checking.

Communication and Fieldwork:

They will need to obtain permission to collect data from local authorities, respondent organizations and compile reports.

Triangulation:

Enumerators will collect data using different means and or Strategies.

Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with respondents `in the field` and supervisor.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy in data collection and entry.
