About Us
Hunger Project, Zambia (THP-Z) is a registered non-governmental organization under the NGO Act of 2009, operating as part of The Global Hunger Project, which was founded in 1977 with offices in 23 countries worldwide. THP-Z works to end chronic hunger and poverty by pioneering sustainable, grassroots, women-centered strategies and advocating for their widespread adoption. The organization implements projects through the Epicenter Strategy, mobilizing rural communities of 5,000, 15,000 people into dynamic centers of action to meet basic needs and achieve self-reliance. THP-Z's work includes initiatives like improving nutrition and health outcomes for mothers, infants, and young children in Mongu District, Western Province, through collaborations with partners such as Save the Children international-Zambia and the Ministry of Health.
