Livelihoods Field Officer â€“ Zimba District

Environment Africa Zambia (EAZ) is seeking a qualified and motivatedÂ Livelihoods Field OfficerÂ for anÂ 18-month contractÂ under the projectÂ â€œStrengthening the Resilience of Children, Youth and Vulnerable Smallholder Households in Southern Province, Zambia, to the Impacts of Climate Change,â€funded by Kindernothilfe, Germany.

Based inÂ Zimba District, the successful candidate will support the implementation of activities focused onÂ climate-smart agriculture, nutrition, sustainable forest management, and disaster risk reduction.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement climate-smart agriculture interventions with small-scale farmers.
- Support community counselling services on nutrition and health issues.
- Assist communities in developing and implementing forest management plans.
- Strengthen and support local Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Satellite Committees.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelorâ€™s Degree in Agriculture, Natural Resources Management, or a related field.
Minimum of two (2) yearsâ€™ experience in a similar role, particularly in climate-smart agriculture and community development.
Strong communication, facilitation, and community engagement skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
