Avsf Zambia

Avsf Zambia is a professional association of international solidarity recognized as of public utility (non-profit). The organization has been working in support of peasant agriculture since 1977. AVSF operates across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, promoting sustainable practices to remedy food insecurity and economic vulnerability in rural communities. In Zambia, the organization supports rural communities through agroecology, human-wildlife coexistence, and community-based biodiversity management. It helps farmers adopt sustainable practices, protect natural resources, and gain legal recognition for traditional land use and conservation methods. AVSF also contributes to the consolidation of producer organizations and their increasing participation in local and export sectors, supporting fairer remuneration and improved living conditions for farming families. The organization is involved in projects such as the Bush2Business initiative, which supports non-timber forest value chains in North-Luangwa landscape in Zambia.
