About Us
African Parks is a non-profit conservation organization that assumes responsibility for the long-term management of protected areas. The organization operates in partnership with governments, local communities, and other stakeholders. African Parks manages 24 protected areas across 13 African countries, covering more than 20 million hectares of exceptional biodiversity. Its operations span Angola, Benin, Central African Republic, Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Malawi, Mozambique, the Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Rwanda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The organization works to achieve the ecological, financial, and socio-political sustainability of protected areas for the benefit of people and wildlife.
