Zambia is currently experiencing prolonged dry spell and drought ever felt for more than forty years. The country is still recovering from a cholera outbreak which began in October 2023 and reported that over 21,000 cases due to decreased access to water, which led to outbreaks of diarrheal diseases as well as other vector-borne diseases.
