Job Description
Department:

Food and Beverage / Customer Service

Reports To:

Restaurant Supervisor / Lodge Manager / Club Manager

Job Purpose:

To provide prompt and professional food and beverage service to guests, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming service environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Welcome guests and provide menus where applicable.
  2. Take food and beverage orders accurately and submit them to the kitchen or bar.
  3. Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally.
  4. Check on guests during service to ensure satisfaction and resolve minor concerns.
  5. Clear tables and maintain cleanliness of dining or service areas.
  6. Prepare tables before service and ensure proper table setting.
  7. Issue bills and process payments accurately.
  8. Maintain good communication with kitchen, bar, and management staff.
  9. Observe hygiene and food safety standards at all times.
  10. Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  1. Grade 12 Certificate.
  2. Certificate in Hospitality, Food and Beverage, or Customer Service is an added advantage.
  3. Experience in waitressing or customer service is preferred.
  4. Good personal presentation and communication skills.
  5. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
