Revenue Accountant
The job purpose is to ensure financial, clerical and administrative support so as to provide efficient, timely and accurate revenue reports & records.
Responsibilities:
- Must have good knowledge on GAAP & Accounting Standards
- Ensure that all cash, cheques etc, are deposited in safes and that the revenue collected is banked on daily basis in accordance with Bem Motors Limited Policies.
- Ensure revenue entries have been posted correctly in the company accounting system (PASTEL Partner).
- Collection of bank statements for all revenue bank accounts and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Monitor stock of accountable documents, banking slips, ledger sheets and other necessary documents are available at all times for easy operation of the department.
- Assist with internal & external audits.
- Assist with preparation of annual budget.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Must be a paid up member of ZICA.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance procedures.
- Excellent Excel skill and attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software packages.
