JOB OPPORTUNITY – JUNIOR LEGAL ASSOCIATE
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated early-career lawyer to provide legal and field support services. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who is comfortable working both in office and in community settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal follow-ups with government offices, councils, and related institutions
- Assist with documentation, filing, and regulatory compliance processes
- Support land-related legal matters, including due diligence and document review
- Engage with traditional leadership and local stakeholders on land and community issues
- Provide general legal and administrative support as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree
- Admitted to the Bar or eligible for admission
- Knowledge of Land Law is essential
- Ability to communicate effectively in Bemba (spoken fluency required)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage respectfully with traditional leaders (Chiefs) and community representatives
- Good organizational and follow-up skills
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and reliability
Preferred Attribute
- 0–3 years’ post-qualification experience
- Experience working with land matters, customary land issues, or local authorities
- Ability to work independently and handle field assignments
