JOB ADVERTISEMENT: EXCAVATOR OPERATOR

Location:Lusaka, Zambia
KEDA Zambia Ceramics is seeking a skilled and reliableExcavator Operatorto join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience operating excavators in an industrial or construction environment and must be based in Lusaka.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently for digging, trenching, loading, and material handling.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks.
- Ensure proper handling of materials to avoid damage and ensure operational efficiency.
- Follow site safety procedures and company policies at all times.
- Work closely with supervisors and other team members to complete assigned tasks.
- Report any mechanical faults or safety concerns promptly.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of Grade 12 Certificate.
- Valid Excavator Operator certification/license.
- At least 3 years of proven experience operating excavators.
- Must be physically fit and able to work in a demanding environment.
- Must reside in Lusaka.
Required Skills and Attributes:
- Strong knowledge of excavator operations and safety standards.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours when required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment
