TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF MATERIALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 50 POUR FLUSH TOILETS IN KATONDO - KABWE DISTRICT UNDER CONSTRUCTION SANITATION AREA 2 (CSA2) - LOT 2

1. INTRODUCTION

Habitat for Humanity Zambia is a locally registered Non-Governmental Organization founded in 1984 and currently operates in three provinces namely, Lusaka, Central and on the Copperbelt. The organization has been responding mainly to shelter needs and related issues such as water and sanitation to serve the most vulnerable families living in marginalized peri-urban communities within the three provinces.

HFH Zambia through its BMZ Community-Driven Models for WASH improvement Project, is funding the construction of 50 pour flush toilets in Katondo, Kabwe District under CSA2 – LOT 2.

2. DELIVERY APPROACH

Habitat for Humanity Zambia promotes a community driven approach involving the local authority (Council), Lukanga Water and Sanitation Company Limited and community members and its leadership from the onset during the planning, implementation, monitoring and completion of installation works. This ensures development of local capacities in quality delivery of the product to the satisfaction of end users and the funding agencies in accordance with the scope of works (see annex 1 below). 

Habitat for Humanity Zambia is now inviting bids from interested bidders for theSUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF MATERIALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 50 POUR FLUSH TOILETS IN KATONDO, KABWE DISTRICT.

This includes; supplying and delivery of Construction of materials to 50 sites in Katondo, KabweNote!That the 50 sites are spread in various parts of Katondo i.e within a radius of 5-10km.The supplying and delivery of construction of materials as described and specified in the scope of works contained in the Full TORS.

3. LOCATION

Katondo – Kabwe district.

The Bidder is required to posses the following;

4.GENERAL ELIGIBILITY AND COMPLIANCE

-Signed cover letter and financial offer

-Valid ZPPA Certificate

-Pacra Registration

-Valid Workers’ Compensation

-Company Profile with physical address

-Valid Tax Clearance certificate

-Provision of brief method statement

- Three (3) most recent stamped bank statements (last three months)

-Site contact Foreman/Supervisor

5.PERSONNEL, EXPERIENCE AND EQUIPMENT

-Construction background as contact personnel

-Proof of carried out past experience in similar works (Certifications of completion, award letters, Purchase orders etc).

-Truck and light weight canter for delivery of materials(hired & owned)in spacely arranged sites, Proof of ownership or signed lease agreement

6.SITE VISIT

The Bidder is encouraged to visit the area and examine the site and its surroundings and obtain for itself, own risk and responsibility, all information that may be necessary for preparing the bid. The costs of visiting the site shall be at the Bidder’s own expense.

7.BID SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

All bids must:

• Be addressed to the Chairperson, Procurement Committee

• Be physically submitted in a sealed envelope

• Be accompanied by a non-returnable USB flash drive containing soft copies of all submitted documents

8.SUBMISSION DEADLINE

• Tuesday, 21st April 2026 at 10:00 AM Bid Opening

 BID OPENING

• Tuesday, 21st April 2026 at 10:15 AM Bid Opening

 • Venue: HFHZ National Office, Plot 488A, Twin Palms Road Kabulonga, Lusaka

All bids must be priced in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) and be inclusive of all applicable taxes. All bids that will not be tax complaint will result in automatic disqualification at the bid opening stage. Important Notice:

All bidders are strongly advised to ensure that the correct submission register is fully completed at the time of submission. Any bid that is incorrectly or improperly signed will result in automatic disqualification at the bid opening stage.

9.SIGNING OF CONTRACT

Promptly upon notification, the Employer shall send the successful Bidder the contract agreement for review and signing.

10.PROJECT DURATION

The employer expects the materials to be delivered within 3 months of the date of signing the contract.

Note!employer may request the supplier to supply certain materials in batches and intervals within and after the stated duration of the project.
