Role Summary:
The Early Childhood Teacher Assistant will support the lead teacher in daily classroom operations and learner engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in supervising children during activities and breaks
- Help prepare learning materials and classroom setup
- Support individual learners with tasks and routines
- Observe and report student behavior and progress
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment
Requirements:
- Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a support or assistant teaching role
- Passion for early childhood education and care
Assess individual student learning needs and abilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Adapt lessons and classroom environments to suit diverse learners Work collaboratively with parents, therapists, and other educators Monitor progress and provide support to ensure learning goals are met
Diploma or Degree in Special Education At least 2 years of experience in a similar role Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices TCZ registration required
