Role Description

Cherry Hills International School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Deputy Head to join our leadership team. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lusaka. The Deputy Head will support the Head of School in overseeing daily school operations, providing strong academic and pastoral leadership, and ensuring the smooth implementation of the school’s vision and goals. Responsibilities include assisting in curriculum development, mentoring staff, engaging with parents, promoting a positive school culture, and contributing to the overall success and continuous improvement of the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of School in managing all aspects of school operations and administration.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Provide instructional leadership and guidance to teaching staff.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among staff, students, and parents.
  • Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student well-being.
  • Assist in policy development, staff appraisals, and professional growth initiatives.
  • Uphold the school’s values and promote a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and respect.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in educational leadership or school management, preferably in an international school
  • Strong skills in curriculum development and instructional leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Effective organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse community.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s is an added advantage).
  • Valid TCZ license
