INTRODUCTIONAmref Health Africa in Zambia Implemented a project Called Closing the Gap between Communities and formal Health Sector whose goal was to contribute to the Reduction of Maternal Mortality on the Copperbelt province of Zambia. The project was implemented from 2017 to 2021. During the project life cycle, no maternal deaths were recorded in the implementation sites and this could have been attributed to the respectful maternity care model in the program.
