Vroomotive Autobody is seeking to expand our expert team at our modern Lusaka workshop with the recruitment of two skilled Panel Beaters and one exceptional Spray Painter. If you bring passion, precision, and professionalism to your craft, we want you to be part of our journey to automotive excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Panel Beaters x2

  • Assess and expertly repair dents, scratches, frame damage, and body misalignment on passenger vehicles and heavy-duty equipment.
  • Utilise hammers, dollies, pullers, and welding equipment to restore panels to factory specifications.

Spray Painter x2

  • Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, masking, and priming to ensure flawless paint adhesion.
  • Mix and apply base coats, clear coats, and speciality finishes using professional spray guns.
  • Perform precise colour matching and blending to meet factory or custom standards.

Quality Assurance

  • Inspect all repaired panels and painted surfaces meticulously for any blemishes or defects.
  • Guarantee first-time fixes, eliminating the need for rework due to negligence.

Mentorship & Teamwork

  • Train and supervise junior technicians, promoting best practices in metalwork and painting techniques.
  • Collaborate effectively with Auto Mechanics, Electricians, and Service Advisors to deliver comprehensive repair solutions.

Customer Communication

  • Provide clear, professional technical assessments and cost estimates.
  • Advise clients on repair options, paint finishes, and maintenance recommendations to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience as a Panel Beater and/or Spray Painter, with strong exposure to both light vehicles and heavy-duty equipment as a plus.
  • Proficient in MIG/TIG welding, metal straightening, and plastic repair (Panel Beaters).
  • Skilled in surface preparation, masking techniques, and spray gun operation (Spray Painter).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, especially in colour matching and finish quality.
  • Strong commitment to flawless workmanship on every job.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage confidently and honestly with customers.
  • Experience mentoring apprentices or junior technicians is highly desirable, with a passion for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
